Although a small city zoo, the Caldwell Zoo still holds more than 250 species of animals, including elephants, jaguars and cheetahs. The AZA-certified zoo hosts many educational programs for schools and other groups as well as summer camps and educational events for children of all ages. It is located in northwestern Tyler, about a mile from Texas College.
Open Mar - early Sep: daily, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; early Sep - Feb: daily, 9:00 a.m.. - 4:00 p.m.
Adults $7.50; Seniors (55+) $6.50; Children (3-12) $4; Children 2 and under are free.
